Namchi Chardham

Introduction

Namchi Char Dham is a pilgrimage destination in Namchi, Sikkim, India. It consists of replicas of Chardham Hindu shrines: lord Jagannath, Badrinath, Dwarka, and Rameswaram. The complex also includes a 108-feet tall statue of Lord Shiva, known as the Char Dham or Siddhesvara Dham. Pilgrims visit to seek blessings and experience the spiritual ambiance of this sacred site.

Namchi Char Dham is located in Namchi, the capital of the South Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. It’s situated in the northeastern part of India, near the border with Bhutan.

Establishment Year

Namchi Char Dham was constructed by the Sikkim Government in November 8 , 2011 to promote tourism and provide a pilgrimage destination for devotees. The project aimed to replicate the four major pilgrimage sites of India and create a spiritually significant place in Namchi, Sikkim.

   The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) in West Bengal. From there, you can hire a taxi or use public transportation to reach Namchi.

   The closest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP). After arriving at the station, you can take a taxi or bus to reach Namchi.
3. By Road:
   Namchi is well-connected by road. You can hire a taxi or use state-run buses from nearby towns and cities.
